I don't have a car, but this reminds me of my bike emergency kit that I kept on me when I was a cycle commuter in Austin. In addition to a tool kit and patch kit, I also kept almonds and walnuts, plus deodorant and a change of underwear and t-shirt for those REALLY hot days. I totally forgot about this until now..... brought back a lot of moist memories. Eek, I hate that word - "moist"!

Rebecca?
Your Mizfit O'The Month sash is in the mail! (really?? no, not really.)
I swear I never thought of doing that with the bar (and Im the elton john of glasses so Ive a plethora of cases!).

finally. no mushage. thank you.

and Mallory? right on with the Jamba. I almost laughed when Renaissance Man realized his health shake from there had 500 or so calories and 80something grams of fat (!) but you can create something pretty great when you're an informed drinker, errr, consumer.

I wanted to add that I often don't have things with me in the car, but if I do feel like I need to stop somewhere it is usually Jamba Juice! Some of their smoothies have some not-so-great-for-you stuff in them, but if you read the ingredients on the menu you can make smart decisions. Also their new smoothies with blended granola has flax and pumpkin seeds in it, wahoo!
