I'm not a big fan of tahini, so I always butcher my traditional recipe a bit... but I really like hummus on apples. Not the super-sour or super-sweet ones, the really earthy ones. Mmm. Tasty.

I think I may have a bit of an apple problem. ^_-

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Mmm. I love hummus. As a veggie dip, cracker spread, sub for mayo/mustard on a wrap or pita. Yum.

This is going to be so much better than my can o' chick peas + olive oil + cumin + blender hummus.

And--quick question--do you say cumin or q-men?

My favorite use of (Trader Joe's) hummus was on their whole-grain bread with a slice of muenster cheese. Healthy? Um, no. But totally delicious, and perfect for late-night study munchies!

MizFit, I'm yers. My hubby will have to learn to share.

Ask me about lentil crunchies sometime if you need a slightly salty, yummy (yet super healthy) snack/salad topper.

Wow, love the IHOP poem, and the miso mayo crack!

I started reading this morning, but had to come back to read more fab ideas and to post my comment. I first tried hummus in college, and don't eat it very often, but I love it. A co-worker made some homemade a few months back, and she gave me a bunch, which motivated me to hunt down tahini at the middle-eastern store (haven't found it in regular grocery stores here). So I made some for myself and the next day I had a weird allergic reaction on my face, and it was red and itchy, and totally swollen. Yikes!

But I'm still not sure what caused it. Because a few days later (after swelling was gone), the leftover hummus in the fridge was calling to me, and I ended up eating the rest of it without any symptoms. Who knows?

I like it on pita/triscuits/lavash/whatevs, or dipping veggies like carrots, broccoli, red peppers, and jicama. I love the idea of the pita with marinated roasted veggies (thanks butterfly!) and the pseudo-deviled egg. Yummo!!

I am totally going to make some right now.
