Where’s My Damn Answer?
By MizFit | July 14, 2009
Subtitle: Not only am I wholly & utterly jealous of these women & their camaraderie—they have the best!blog!name!ever!
I wanna give the women from Where’s My Damn Answer some LOVE.
They were kind enough to invite me to be a guest on their radio show and, while it isnt the shortest thing you’ll ever try to hide from your boss youre listening to hear, it was such a FUN TIME & these women are so smartsnarkyhip I encourage you to listen nonetheless.
Onward & temporary tattooward.
Here are the two designs I created (why yes. the second one IS a horrible self-taken-photo. thanks for noticing!):

Not sure yet what I’ll do with them beyond BlogHer—but they’re finally in the domicile so I had to share.
Onward.
And more tattoo-ward.
Ive gotten a bit more colorful (which leaves me almost done except the background & 4 days before my 40th, too.)
These two need no introduction:

In more grown-up news Im branching out & partnering up with (waitforit) Divine Caroline!
Whom is this Caroline of which I speak?
In their words:
At DivineCaroline women come together to learn from experts in the fields of health and nutrition; to reflect on shared experiences; and to express themselves by writing/publishing stories about anything that matters to them. Together, with our staff writers, they’re discussing all facets of women’s lives from relationships and health, to style and culture.
In my words?
DivineCaroline is a KICK ASS opportunity for a woman who completely fancies herself a writer. Im not sure what it means beyond my posting over there sometimes but Im over the proverbial moon to be a part of whatever they desire.
Stay tuned for details & linkage.
Last, and certainly not least, a FIT BLOGGIN’ CONFERENCE UPDATE!
(go look. I’ll wait. Roni has been working her ass off to get us started & Im excited/right there with her!)
WHEW.
I guess that’s it.
A podcast, some temp-tats, some real ink, some Divine & a conference.
And you?
What’s shakin’ in your neck of the net?
Please to hit us all up in the comments.
One lucky commenter shall be the first to possess each of the temporary tattoos shown above.
(I know. Seriously try & control your excitement…).
Winner announced tomorrow. Entire universe eligible for tattoobestowment.

I am decluttering the most cluttered space in my home today.
I’m working a bit on some of my more neglected blogs today too.
In honor of my daughters who fancy themselves princesses, I’m starting a blog that’s all about princesses. LOL! (I wonder if I can keep it going.)
July 14th, 2009 at 4:19 am
Are guys invited to Fitbloggin?
I have tattoos—will that get me in?
July 14th, 2009 at 4:28 am

Can’t wait to listen to the podcast….on my way now. You have been very busy! Me? I’m done with vacation and back to the usual work junk
July 14th, 2009 at 4:40 am
Yay, you got the Sneetches! (That was my first choice for your Seuss-themed leg.)
Hubby is off work today and it’s hot, hot, hot, so we’re headed for the beach! Haven’t been in ages.
July 14th, 2009 at 4:41 am

July 14th, 2009 at 4:42 am
Exciting things in the Mizfit region of the blogosphere!
I have been taken into hand by the management at my gym to try to get my sales numbers up. Apparently, I need to start taking my career seriously. Apparently, this is a real job and not just an opportunity to hang out at the gym all the time. Who knew!
And I had a race canceled on Sunday, so I’m full of frenetic energy with no outlet (hard workouts aren’t the same as racing!).
So I’m cranky.
But happy to see all of the developments here! Can’t wait to see where they take us . . .
July 14th, 2009 at 4:45 am
I have been reading but so busy with work and the boys not commenting too much.
Any idea on the cost of the Fitbloggin?
(I know. I need to go look huh?)
I love the ink as well. Looking great.
Will you sell the tattoos? I want to buy a Be Present one and slap it on my forehead.

July 14th, 2009 at 5:59 am
The tattoos are pretty awesome.
I’m training a Flaky Client (who also thinks texting me without including her name is a good idea), then lifting, then showering and cleaning up because I’ve got an interview with a recruiter for a job, then yoga, and then packing, as BK and I are going on vacation.
July 14th, 2009 at 6:05 am
I’m actually thinking of getting another tatoo soon
I’ll be at my goal soon and thought i’d celebrate! I love the unapologetically myself one.
July 14th, 2009 at 6:30 am
YES on the topics for the conference.
This is our event. All of ours. We’d lovelove MEN to attend and adore your input so that this grows into an event you are excited about attending year after year (she tyoes hopefully).

July 14th, 2009 at 6:42 am
Excitement is barely contained, those temp tattoos totally rock.
My neck of the net hasn’t been doing much shakin, back home and ready to get the routine a rollin, back at work tomorrow and loving that when I got home from my trip it appeared a whole stack of “too tight” clothes fit me…. YAHOOOO!
July 14th, 2009 at 6:45 am
Will you send the leg and/or the arm *with* the tattoo?
(I want to try out some of those human cracklin skins)
Great news all around (except the loss of the body part).
4 more days, 4 more days, 4 more days.

July 14th, 2009 at 6:51 am
POD am I supposed to read your comment in my best Anthony Hopkins voice?
July 14th, 2009 at 6:54 am
Miz- I love the ink. It looks amazing. Definitely sounds like you have a lot going on in your world.
I am trying to adjust to the changes that pregnancy is bringing to my body. Will I ever get my energy back, or should I just be prepared to feel exhausted for the next 9 months? I am also working, trying to exercise, and hoping that I can convince my husband to mow the lawn even though I am suppose to (since he does all of the weeding and trimming).
July 14th, 2009 at 7:16 am

Around here, I’m FEELING yesterday’s workout big time - among other things we did dumbbell presses while sitting on an inclined bench, and when I watch myself doing these in the mirror, I always feel like a badass prison bitch. Oh yeah!!!
July 14th, 2009 at 8:06 am
What’s shakin’ in my neck of the net? Everyone is all atwitter (figuratively and literally) about BlogHer 09.
I am hoping to start my spreadsheet for activities today (so I can enter important alarms on phone, iTouch).
And it will be hot (for the bay area) today, so I’m doing my outside work early.
July 14th, 2009 at 8:09 am
Deb, I came here to say SPREADSHEET ME!! & decided NAH.
I’ll just bumble thru and plan on following you around.

Hehehehehe
July 14th, 2009 at 3:24 pm
The temps and not temp tatts are fabulous, Miz. Can’t wait to see your art finished.
It’s the same old stuff in Meps’ neck of the woods - writing, working out, eating well, working at the observatory and meeting with my writers group. Bet there’s at least one in your area [writers group]. Mine is a fantastic resource.
Hold your head up and say it with authority. You ARE a writer.
July 14th, 2009 at 3:40 pm

July 14th, 2009 at 9:50 pm
Dear Miz,
I’m back to rhyme, you know its me,
your legs remind me of Kat Von D,
Of Course you’re Texas, and she’s LA,
I wish I could come to BlogHer to play.
But I am blogless, unable to write,
so help me please, create a new site.
I’ve so much to say,You know that its true,
I’m unapologetically me, but I’d rather be you.
I’m slogging along, I almost bought the chia yesterday, but I’m a teacher so the summer is bare bones. I’ll have to settle for more water. I really do want to create a blog and really don’t know how.
I really would look so cute at my advanced age with that tatoo on my arm
July 14th, 2009 at 10:09 pm
Ouh! Tattoos!!! <3
July 15th, 2009 at 12:22 am
love the tats
love seuss
July 15th, 2009 at 1:14 am
I love the tattoos. I’ve been going to get a temporary tattoo to freak out my husband. He has a thing about tattoos, he hates them. Yet I’m going to get one, but first wanted to try a temporary one — just to see if he’ll divorce me over it.
July 15th, 2009 at 7:41 am
Listening to the podcast; sounds like they were fun; looked at the Baltimore conference– will check back as I don’t see a date for it on the site; I love the tattooes– the color is coming along great! I’m going to put a dragonfly when I finally get a divorce (found out my not-as-yet ex has remarried in Egypt; weird, I’m tied up legally for 3 years now trying to get him to co-operate for a divorce and he remarried last year in the Middle East; it’s bizarre!) But back to the dragonfly I found an artist in PA- whose work I like and I’m hoping sometime this year to be divorced and get the tat! (cross fingers!) The Be Present is cool also! I loved the little skull previously! I think it’s the bow that finishes that one, as fun! I read above someone would like to see it on ur forehead… whew! What challenges we followers try to put you up to! LOL Kim
July 15th, 2009 at 9:14 am
Thanks for the answer… the reason I think you get more replies than the podcaster site– IMHO, is that it’s Easy to post here! or twitter… honestly, I didn’t see where I replied over there… and it’s got too much happening on it to be a reply site… you kinda feel compelled to look at a lot of things and then, you are more or less entertained rather than engaged. You engage people and you keep it simple– hence why I can reply to you! (and I appreciate that you or someone you dearly trust also replies to me)
The Tat guy is near Philly (more than near P’Burg). He’s a yogi, Tattoo guy and a glass artist… a Zen Tattoo… and he’s done Very Good Dragonflies He’s on myspace and has a web page…I’ll get the link to them and hit you back up with them… I think it’s Dragonfly Studios (but that may be my blonde brain, so I have to check!) I’ve had some general email conversations with him. Feel good about him and that’s what’s important in the artwork– feeling good about it and the Who that inks you!
Thanks for being Real and keeping it simple!
