Everything went well yesterday.

MizFit Muzings

We brought our princess magic with us to the hospital…

And then when all was said & done (if by said and done you mean WHO KNEW THERE WOULD BE A POST-OP FREAKOUT by the Tiny Dictator? She.Strong.) we went home & had some more princess fun:

Thanks again for all your thoughts, prayers & tips-for-surgery.

To my SHOCK this whole thing slowed her down not-at-all (nary a nap yesterday after being up at 4, surgery, & lottsa pain-meds) which is the perfect segue into the fact Im over here today talking about raising kids who like to exercise & be active.

Whether it was all my doing or not—-the Tornado is a living example of that.

Have a great weekend.

I know that we will.

  4. Oh, bless, she looks so tiny in her bed! So glad everything went OK and she recovered so quickly. A sure sign of being in top tip health!

    Send her my love!

  5. Donna says:

Hope she continues to recuperate with ease, you get a chance to take a nice deep breath, and most of all, that this surgery proves to be the answer to her struggles. Take care.

  6. Lance says:

    Miz,
So good to hear it went well (well…except for the freak out!). Enjoy being princesses, both of you! And here’s to living an active lifestyle!

  7. Hanlie says:

I’m glad it all went well! She may be a bit more subdued today… Good wishes for a speedy recovery!

  8. Meredith says:

    GREAT NEWS.

I have to ask: were you ever into princesses??

  9. Amy H. says:

Glad everything went OK – cheers to the mighty Tornado!

  10. Meredith says:

    Back from reading your post.

LOVED the reminder of the importance of play.

  11. I’m so glad everything went well! What a strong Tornado!!!

And I love seeing the princess gear! :) I wasn’t allowed to have anything “girly” growing up, so I love getting my “fix” by looking at it… I always thought I’d have a daughter and could buy “her” all the things I had ever wanted… It’s probably a good thing I have two boys…. ;)

    Have a great weekend!

  12. RhodeyGirl says:

Happy to hear she is doing well!!!!!! I hope she has a super fast recovery, and love all the princess stuff!

  13. Bea says:

So thankful all went well & she’s back to normal.

Off to check out your guest post.

    xo xo

  14. I’m glad that all went well for your babygirl! I experienced the pot-op freakout w/ my daughter when she had an endoscopy at 13.
She cussed me out! (Luckily, SHE doesn’t remember!)

  15. So glad it all went well! Do you get to share the tent?

  16. Clemento says:

I liked it. So much useful material. I read with great interest.

  17. Diana says:

I’m so glad she is doing well! What a trooper!

  18. MizFit says:

I do get to share the tent…tho am so bent into quarters thus far I have no photographic proof of that fact :) .

and andrea? thats exactly why I let her have barbiepinkprincesscr*p—–I figure why fight it?

and I KNOW if I did it would all backfire on me into a rebellious 22 year old who wore princessgarb 24/7.

(which actually could be kinda fun…)

  19. Gena says:

I’m so glad she’s doing well!

  20. Lori says:

I am so glad she is doing well! Kids are so resilient, aren’t they?

  21. Ron says:

Glad eveything went well, have a great weekend!

  22. Sagan says:

Now you can breathe easy :)

Kids should get a lot more credit than they do for their strength and ability to pick themselves up immediately… it seems as though we lose that skill as we get older…

  23. Jo says:

I’m very glad to read everything went well. I’d have had a post-op freakout, too. =) Cute princess tent.

  24. Melissa says:

Thinking of you, Carla!! And your little one!

  25. Does this mean you had to drink your wine sitting like a pretzel in a princess tent?

    Glad things went well!

You DO have an active little one.
