Tehehe, ah well, I suppose races aren’t always “bundles of fun”. But I bet if she was marching/skipping along a trail in a forest, with lots of time to examine weird rocks and to clamber over tree roots, she’d get a real kick out of it. Maybe even start running. Setting can make a big difference.
Looks like a nice time for you all though!

I was a wild active child as it sounds like your Tornado is and I refused to play any sports which made my parents nuts.
