Well, People, if all goes as planned you should be reading this via my new!sprucedup!MizFitLook!
(translation: Tornado-willing Im happily slumbering when this post goes live at 2am)
It’s been time for a change up in herre for a while now and, as much as I adore change, Id become a victim of my own excuses paralysis by analysis.
Id mess with headers—-then delete before the next post went live.
Id funk around with fonts—-then change back to the tried & true quickfastandinahurry.
Id grown weary of my MizFitlook—-yet the boredom I knew had become more comfortable than the overwhelmingnessment (technical term) of trying to figure out a redo on my own.
Enter this guy (& much to my chagrin he did NOT enter doing the RUNNING MAN).
Ryan emailed me out of the blue after seeing a few of my tweets about longing for a new blog layout.
His email consisted of a list of questions he wanted me to answer regarding my bloggin’ goals & my MizFit motivations.
Needless to say it was a life changing email.
Not only did it set me on the path to finally shaking things up around here—always good—but it made me realize an additional source of my blogging malaise:
I felt alone. isolated. a team of one in this endeavor called social media.
I needed his technical skillz.
I longed for his creative vision.
I coveted his bluehost patience.
Yet far more than any of that—I was bolstered & motivated by the fact there’s now another member of the MizFit team.
That gift of feeling is something mere “hiring” or “employing” can not buy.
The result is a rebirth of sorts for MizFitOnline.
The same writing.
A lovingly tweaked blog-botox’ed look (which is, indeed, a work in progress. If youre reading this in yer google reader please to drop on by and check out my new digs!).
And a reinvigorating of sorts with the knowledge that, though it can feel lonely at times, we are never, ever truly alone.
Thank you Ryan.
For my new look & for reaching out and reminding me that people are frequently thinking about us even when we’ve no idea we’re on their minds.
**cue awkward back-to-the-superficial-stuff segue**
Word on the proverbial street is MrsNoMoreBacon is a hair stylist.
You know, I have been talking about some hairbotox for a while now…
**It bears clarifying here that Ryan did NOT reach out to me in order to solicit business. His email was merely an act of kindness hoping to spark *my* creativity. I think he was stunned by how quickly I responded and how abundantly I begged him for the name on his paypal account.

Good question Betty! The slider thingy (technical term) on the very top will always have “featured articles.” The newest post will always be the first post you see on the slider, or the post at the top of the main column.
Does that make sense?

Looks good! Love the new banner. I think the navigation links and menus across the top will be very user friendly. Way to go, Team MizFit! (I read mainly through Google Reader, or go directly to whichever article I want to comment on, so it’s been awhile since I’ve come in through the Home page.)
It’s funny, though, how more open to online changes I am compared to magazines in print. A magazine I get just did a huge overhaul, and I found it really jarring, because its style seemed too much like this other differently-themed magazine I used to get. Imagine Country Mouse sporting City Mouse clothes and trading his diminutive tractor for a Miata.

Ok, one quick thing…I think it would be cool, since you are usually so much a part of your “comment” discussion or commentversation as you call it, that maybe your comments could be a different “color” so they stand out more? Change is good. Scary (for me sometimes) but good. I think the next change is getting a for real person (not Zliten) to cut my hair in some way that is not just a few inches off the bottom and all one length. I am actually a bit scared of this but hey – it’s just hair – and it could be super cool!

Hey Miz! I love the new look.
That’s the reason I have decided to leave wordpress and go back to blogger. It’s too overwhelming to me. There’s a button to make it so easy to update my wordpress, yet when I click on said button I get an error message….really? Why are they telling me about it? I didn’t put the button there!
