Im living not blogging about life today.

We are recovering from this one turning 5 yesterday:

Id totally forgotten Id once told her she could do that as soon as she was five

She did not forget.

And *today* we are getting ALL KINDS of ready for Hanukkah tonight.

(cue mass donut-making)

  28. Happy Birthday to your cutie pie. I had a little chickie turn 5 yesterday too! She was so happy and excited. It was all, “You have to be nice to me because I’m the birthday girl.” She had one cupcake and she was crazy at bedtime. Both my little girls, 5 and 6 were. They are a mess. A joyful mess, but mess just the same.

The gum thing cracked me up. Isn’t it funny the things they remember. You have to really watch what you promise.

  29. Shelley B says:

She is so cute! Glad you had such a fun day enjoying your birthday girl. And Happy Hanukkah!

    Happy Hanukkah.

  32. Karen says:

My husband and teen eat latkes with ketchup. But usually only when no one beside our immediate family is around. I never got the applesauce thing. Sour cream at least makes some sense to me. And we never did the donut thing growing up. But chocolate gelt is a big tradition here:) Happy Hanukkah.

  33. Alexia says:

    Hahahaha. Of course she remembered!

  34. Love that I’m a noobie and Everything recycled is New! <3

  35. Yum Yucky says:

    Happy birthday, Tornado!!!!!!

  38. So adorable! What a great way to celebrate the first day of Chanukah and its many blessings.

  39. Happy Birthday to The Tornado! My 5 year old likes Trident gum…she gets a whole piece but the pieces are smaller so she doesn’t feel like she has a big ol’ wad of stuff in her mouth. She loves Watermelon.

    AND HAPPY HANUKKAH!

  40. She is too cute. Growing up too quickly she is.

Hope y’all have a wonderful Hanukkah. I’ll be over for a donut later. And a latke please. :)
