Fit Stanley UPDATE! (pls. read if you want a visit)

(The little FitMan’s first foray into adventure with the Austin Holy Rollers)
Please to know I initially wrote this as a traditional blog post.
Nary a bullet in sight and filled with rambling stories (why I named Fit Stella what I did), musings of love (so so excited you are all on board with this) and stunned admissions of how expensive this has all gotten (color copies, laminating, mailing–who knew?).
I plopped the post away, yanked out, reread and nearly fell asleep when doing do.
Indeed.
It was that FIT’citing.
As a result I give you the short version. Bulleted for her pleasure:
- Are you asking yourself who the HECK is this FIT STANLEY & shouldn’t it be FLAT Stanley please to check out this post.
- So many of us wanted a Fit Stanley I’ve created/laminated a bunch. In addition, I had myriad requests for a female version, so Fit Stella was
created by the Tornadoborn:
- Right now we have 20 Stanleys and 20 Stellas & own FitStanleyProject, FitStanley & FitStella dot com (I told you I was nuts).
- For now while
Ren Manmy team of high-powered lawyers double check we arent breaking any Flat Stanley trademarks with our homage we will be using this blog.
- I will be picking 40 names at random (from todays comments/ the comments on this post), tapping into the Child’s college fund (we dont need no stinkin’ education!) & mailing Stanley & Stella out this weekend.
- On each laminated figure is an email address. Please snap one picture, write an 100 word post about your FIT’venture**, send to the email and mail your FIT BUDDY onward.
- Yes (obviously) it’s up to YOU what you do with Stella & Stanley and how you pass him/her onward. All I ask is you dont let them languish in your home like review items on a busy bloggers desk (ohnoshediint. ohyesshedid.).
- Yes. Someday I shall be compelled to bore you with the Stella story. Sadly it’s my blog and that’s the forced audience (until you clickclick) way I roll. It’s an important one to me.

I expressed my unbridled enthusiasm last week, but am posting here again because I LOVE this idea and would be happy to host FitStanley or FitStella for a fitastic adventure and then send him/her on his/her merry way.

I think I also commented before – but here I am again! I would take “The Fit” with me to Kettlebell class – or on a run – Ooh…..if he/she gets here before the 16th of July he/she can go with me to Disco at the Downs – a 10K race that starts and ends at Churchill Downs. It’s a 70′s theme so I’m sure she/he would have a GREAT time!!

It’s hard to love your body at any age…13, 20, 30, etc. It’s fuuny now that I think about it, but when I was in high school I actually thought I was fat I despised my huge warlocks (boobs for anyone not familiar with that term) and my ba-dunk-a-dunk. What I wouldn’t give to have that high school body now. I was fabulous in high school. And NOW, people pay for to get some warlocks and a cabosse like that, well like this b/c I still got em. I wish I had someone tell me back then that my body was beautiful, maybe I wouldn’t have so many body image issues now.
I am going to be forty in 3 years and you best belive I will be brining it in with a bad a** banging body. As Lil Wayne says, “I’m going to be badder than a three year old.” LOL @ myself.

Fit Stella would love to walk the Golden Gate bridge don’t you think? In fact our little city of 7 miles x 7 miles might inspire a walking tour with photos snapped along the way… (just sayin). We would love a visit from Fit Stella!

Forgive yourself!
I am forgiving myself for not knowing enough about fitness ad the food I was eating, even though I was a high school athlete. For not realizing I was putting on weight sooner, for not starting this journey yesterday. For not being perfect.
I have learned to the fitgang that consistency is where it is at. Flexibility is key. I had a goal to lose 25 pounds by the time Ii turn 25 next month. That is not physically possible in a safe way. It was when I made it, but I did not do anything to reach my goal for 4+ months. Now I am Thankful l I have been to the gym consistently for the last month or so and am back into a routine where I know I will succeed because heathiness is at the forefront of my mind.
Forgive, forget, be consistent and thankful you are here and able!
